Hi, I’m Emily

My background is an undergraduate degree in psychology, with a focus on happiness research (positive psychology).

In 2017 I was out of college, but very much still into happiness research, and got to spend four weeks in Scandinavia (mostly in Norway, with a week in Denmark and a short visit to Finland). Each year these countries top the World Happiness Report, and I was overwhelming with gratitude at the opportunity to experience that culture firsthand.

Visiting Scandinavia changed my life. With the emphasis on a life outdoors, eating in community, and slowing down to live each moment with the intention to enjoy, it was incredibly evident to me why these countries have such high levels of happiness; their level of connectedness- with others, nature, and life itself- is unparalleled. I strove to incorporate these lessons into my daily life back in Chicago.

Fast forward to 2024 and I’ve become a regular at Nordvoll Farm in Tromso, Norway (pictured bottom left). My time there inspired me to checkout vanlife and become a yoga teacher, finding new ways to connect with nature, other people, and myself (pictured top left: vanlife at Bryce Canyon).

These experiences of deep connection inspired my career shift to a holistic wellness and happiness coach. In my practice I help others to feel and function their best using nutrition, specific movement practices and happiness-increasing habits to increase overall wellbeing and joyful living.
